EPF2019 : Norwegian Poetry Focus at Writers’ Centre Kingston

A remarkable event to begin the European Poetry Festival in 2019, a celebration of contemporary literary and avant-garde Norwegian poetry, marking the release of four new publications by Jon Ståle Ritland, Morten Langeland, Silje Ree, Vilde and Valerie Bjerke Torset, alongside readings by other European poets and as the closing event of Kingston University's Writers' Centre programme for 2018 / 2019.
World renowned poets visiting from across Europe read alongside European poets local to the Kingston area or currently studying at Kingston University. This reading will showcase the dynamic energy and innovation so defining of 21st European poetry - an amazing opportunity to see some of the most exciting contemporary poets from all over Europe.
The event saw the launch of four new publications by Norwegian poets, published by Sampson Low.
The event saw readings by Jon Ståle Ritland, Morten Langeland, Silje Ree, Vilde Valerie Bjerke Torset, Maren Nygård, Katerina Koulouri, Harry Man, SJ Fowler, Olga Kolesnikova, Julia Rose Lewis, Marcia Knight Latter
and readings by the 2019 Sampson Low Kingston University student poetry pamphlet series from Julia Rose Lewis, Marcia Knight Latter and Helena Artus.
