Swiss Poetry celebration / Rich Mix

A remarkable opening event to the winter 2021 European Poetry Festival in London, celebrating contemporary Swiss poetry with performance and collaboration. A full capacity audience witnessed new works made for the night eight pairs of poets, including Clea Chopard, Rolf Hermann and Baptiste Gaillard, visiting from Switzerland. / This event was supported by Pro Helvetia.

EPF Digital 2020 presents new long-form video-interviews with poets from Switzerland, featuring Laura Accerboni, Rolf Hermann and Linn Molineaux.
These interviews are supported by Pro Helvetia and are part of the Maintenant series at 3am magazine.
Linn Molineaux (1993) is an artist and writer based in Geneva, Switzerland. She graduated from Geneva’s Fine Arts College (Haute Ecole d’Art et de Design) in 2017 and exhibits her works regularly in Switzerland and internationally. Her first book, Regarde le bruit des montagnes (‘Watch the sound of mountains’)was published in 2018 by the editions Torticolis et frères and since then she has taken part in several literature events. Five of her works were published in the Anthology of Young Swiss French Poets by Vakxikon Publications in 2020. She was awarded Geneva’s Canton grant for new author in 2020 for her upcoming book Catadioptre (‘Reflector’)and will take part in the European Poetry Festival in London this fall. 2021 will definitely not see things slow down for Linn between her several collaborations in process, exhibitions coming her way, the publication of her second book, and a street poetry tour throughout French speaking Europe. www.linnmolineaux.com
Rolf Hermann is a Swiss author. He was born in the canton of the Valais in 1973, where he also worked as a shepherd in the summer months. He studied English and German Literature in Switzerland, as well as in Iowa, USA. He writes and performs poetry, prose and spoken word. So far he's published 6 books, numerous audiobooks and radio-plays. Some of his works have been translated into 9 languages. For his creative work, Rolf Hermann has received recognition through a number of literary awards, e.g. a Writer’s Fellowship in Paris, a Writer-in-Residence for Poetry in Tübingen, the Rilke Encouragement Prize as well as a the Cultural Prize of the city of Biel. Laura Accerboni was born in 1985 in Genoa, where she studied Modern literature. She currently lives in Lugano. Her first book of poems, Attorno a ciò che non è stato (Around that what she was not) was published in 2010. It was hailed as a remarkable debut and was lauded with several prizes, such as the Achille Marazza Prize in 2012. Her second book La parte dell'annegato (The play of the drowning) was published in 2015. Six of Switzerland’s most remarkable contemporary poets came to London to present brand new collaborations with Britain-based counterparts. This special focus event paired some of the finest avant-garde and literary poets from both nations to perform works made for the night.
