Norwegian Poetry :
July 3rd 2024
National Poetry Library.

This event celebrated contemporary Norwegian poetry, one of the most expansive poetry scenes in Europe, with four of that nation’s most exciting writers coming to the UK to perform their work, as well as brand new collaborations made with British poets, just for this event. With Ane Thon Knutsen and Jules Sprake / Vilde Bjerke Torset and Lavinia Singer / Endre Ruset and James Knight / Thor Magnus Tangerås and Mary Paterson

Supported by NORLA and The Royal Norwegian Embassy in London, this was a unique exploration of the performative, literary and cross-lingual potential of 21st century European poetry.

The festival has a rich history with Norwegian poetry, going back to before it’s official beginnings, to 2010. In recent years we have hosted remarkable Norwegian poetry celebrations
