Catalan Poetry
Celebration :
June 19th 2024 at National Poetry Library, London.

This event celebrated contemporary Catalan poetry, one of the most dynamic poetry scenes in Europe, with three of that nation’s most exciting writers coming to the UK to perform their work, as well as brand new collaborations made with British poets, just for this event. It featured solo readings by Anna Gual, Laia Carbonell and Martí Sales, and then collaborations from Anna Gual and Rushika Wick, Martí Sales and James Wilkes, Laia Carbonell and Mischa Foster Poole

The European Poetry Festival returned to the National Poetry Library for its seventh year as the UK’s biggest celebration of continental poetry in performance, experimentation and collaboration. A brilliant, joyous, energised event of collaborative poetic performance. (Photographs by Pau Ros)

This event is supported by the Institut Ramon Llull and curated by SJ Fowler.

This event follows a remarkable Catalan Poetry Celebration at the festival in 2023, which can be viewed here europeanpoetryfestival.com/catalan23
