European Poetry Festival 2019 

All told, nearly 1000 people witnessed poets from across Europe performing at 9 events in London, Norwich, Manchester, and Kildare for a grand second iteration of the EPF. Below are links to each event, where every performance is documented alongside some remarkable photographs by Alexander Kell.

April Thursday 4th - Norwegian poetry at Writers' Centre Kingston New publications launched for the opening event of the fest at a packed Rose Theatre in Kingston upon Thames.

April Saturday 6th : The European Camarade : Rich Mix, London
34 poets in 17 pairs presented new performance collaborations to over 200 people in an epic central event of the festival.

April Sunday 7th : Back into the Mouth: celebrating Sound & Performance Iklektic Artlab, London.
Avant-garde, sound, experimental and conceptual poetry performances from some of the most exciting poets in Europe.

April Monday 8th : Swiss poetry in collaboration : Poetry Society’s Cafe, London. Contemporary Swiss poets collaborated with Britain-based counterparts.

April Wednesday 10th : Austrian poetry in collaboration : Austrian Cultural Forum, London. 3 contemporary Austrian poets collaborate with British counterparts.

April Thursday 11th : Latvian poetry in collaboration : Burley Fisher Books, London. 4 contemporary Latvian poets collaborate with Britain-based counterparts.

April Friday 12th : Norwich’s European Camarade : National Centre for Writing Poets from across Europe collaborate with Norwich based poets.

April Saturday 13th : Manchester’s European Camarade : The International Anthony Burgess Centre European poets collaborate with Mancunian poets.

April Monday 15th : European Camarade at Riverbank Arts Centre : Newbridge, Co Kildare, Dublin. Ireland Solo readings to close the festival.
